بناء ثقافة الاستدامة
التزمت شركة صدارة منذ بداياتها الأولى بمسؤولياتها المجتمعية، إذ أننا نُدرك في صدارة أن أي مكاسب يتم تحقيقها هي مكاسب زائلة ما لم يتم ترسيخ ثقافة الاستدامة والتمكين المجتمعي. تلك الثقافة التي تسعى صدارة لبنائها وترسيخها بأقصى طاقاتها.
لقد بدأنا بحماية قوة العمل والمجتمعات التي نعمل بها - وقد تجاوزت ساعات العمل في هذا المشروع 440 مليون ساعة عمل، حققنا خلالها مُعدل 0.034 على مؤشر إجمالي الحوادث المُسجلة (TRIR) الذي يشير إلى مدى سلامة بيئة العمل، مما يُعَد رقماً قياسياً عالمياً في السلامة. وسوف نستمر في تكثيف جهودنا نحو تعزيز وتبني ...
ثقافة السلامة عن طريق مبادرات متنوعة، ومن خلال العديد من البرامج والأنظمة والعمليات الإدارية.
وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، فنحن نسعى جاهدين إلى تطبيق أقصى معايير الاستدامة المُتاحة وأكثر الحلول صداقةً للبيئة، وذلك في كافة مناحي العمل في شركة صدارة، بدءاً من التصميم والهندسة، ومروراً ببناء مجمعاتنا الصناعية، وانتهاءً بالعمليات التشغيلية وكافة جوانب العمل المتعلقة بها. ولا نكتفي في كل ذلك بتطبيق الحد الأدنى الذي تفرضه الأنظمة والقوانين، بل إننا نتخطى ذلك سعياً وراء الأفضل.
إن استراتيجية الاستدامة هي جزء لا يتجزأ من خطة عمل الشركة، كما أنها تدعم هدفنا لإنتاج منتجات كيميائية وبلاستيكية مُتميزة وذات قيمة مُضافة مقارنةً بنظرائها في المنطقة. الأمر الذي سوف يسهم في إعطاء دفعة للتوجه القائم في المملكة العربية السعودية نحو الاهتمام بالصناعات التي تستثمر النفط المستخرج، كما يسهم في تنوع القاعدة الاقتصادية للمملكة.
سيقوم 14 مصنعاً من إجمالي مصانعنا الستة والعشرين، بتصنيع منتجات لم يسبق تصنيعها في المملكة العربية السعودية. كما أن العديد من هذه المنتجات الكيميائية سوف تدخل في تصنيع منتجات نهائية تُعزز أهداف الاستدامة، مثل أنواع الرغوة المستخدمة في العزل، ومرشحات تحلية المياه بتقنية التناضُح العكسي، ومواد التعبئة والتغليف البلاستيكية القابلة لإعادة التدوير، على سبيل المثال لا الحصر.
مسؤوليتنا
تشارك صدارة بفاعلية في أنشطة الاتحاد الخليجي للبتروكيماويات والكيماويات (جيبكا)، كما أنها عضو عامل وفعال وموقع على اتفاقية لجنة "الرعاية المسؤولة" المنبثقة عن (جيبكا)، الأمر الذي يؤكد التزامنا بتحقيق أعلى معايير السلامة والمحافظة على البيئة في كافة عملياتنا التشغيلية.
وضمن مسار تطور صدارة من مشروعٍ عملاق إلى شركة صناعية تشغيلية كبرى، حددت الشركة أهدافها وخططها المستقبلية، واضعة نصب عينيها الحصول على شهادة "الرعاية المسؤولة 14001" بحلول عام 2017. كما تتطلع صدارة لإصدار تقريرها الأول للاستدامة والمحافظة على البيئة لعام 2016، وذلك وفق "المبادرة العالمية لإعداد التقارير" (GRI)، ومعايير البصمة الكربونية.
وقد أنشأنا هيئة متخصصة بالاستدامة لتطوير وتطبيق استراتيجيات خطة الاستدامة في شركة صدارة، وذلك لضمان تحقيق كافة أهدافنا المتعلقة بالصحة والسلامة والحفاظ على البيئة. وسيعمل فريق الهيئة على تحقيق الاستخدام الأمثل للموارد، كالمواد الخام والثروة البشرية واستهلاك الطاقة، ورفع الوعي بأهمية الاستدامة على جميع مستويات الشركة، الأمر الذي نأمل أن يؤدي في نهاية المطاف إلى خفض التكاليف التشغيلية والتأثيرات السلبية على البيئة، وخلق شركة رابحة ومحافظة على سلامة البيئة، مما سَيؤدي إلى خلق قيمة مضافة لعملائنا، وللمملكة والقطاع بشكل عام.

Building a Culture of Sustainability
Sadara has committed from the outset to being a responsible corporate citizen. We recognize that without an enabling, sustainability culture, any gains are temporary. Therefore, we have been striving to build an enabling and sustainability culture.
We start with the protection of our workforce and the communities in which we operate – so far we’ve had over 440 million man hours of work being put into the project and the Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) is 0.034 which is setting a new world standard in safety. our focus on safety and foster a safety culture through various initiatives, programs, management systems and processes.
In literally all aspects of Sadara, from design and engineering to construction of our manufacturing complex to operations and all related work processes, we strive to pursue the most sustainable and environmentally friendly solution available – going beyond the required minimums set by laws and regulations.
Our sustainability strategy is embedded in our business plan and supports our aim to produce differentiated, value-added chemicals and plastics products in the region, ultimately contributing to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s move downstream and economic diversification.
Of the 26 manufacturing plants, 14 will make products never before produced in Saudi Arabia, and many of these chemical products will be used in the manufacture of end products that advance sustainability goals, such as foams for insulation, reverse osmosis desalination filters, recyclable plastic packaging, to name just a few.
Our Commitment
Sadara is actively involved in the Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Association (GPCA) and is an active participant and signatory in GPCA’s Responsible Care® Committee. Being a signatory, Sadara is committed to delivering the highest standards of operational safety and environmental sustainability in all operations.
As Sadara continues with its transition from a mega project to an operating entity, the company has already set targets and plans to achieve the Responsible Care 14001 certification by 2017. Sadara’s first Sustainability Report is targeted for 2016, as per the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and launch Carbon Footprint Standards.
To ensure these goals are met, we have established a dedicated Sustainability Organization to develop and implement a strategic sustainability plan for Sadara. The team will work to optimize resource utilization for the company from raw materials to human capital and energy consumption, and raise the awareness of the importance of sustainability at all levels of the corporation. Ultimately, this will minimize operational costs and the effects on the environment, creating a more sustainable – and profitable – corporation which delivers value to our customers, to the Kingdom and to the industry overall.
