JUBAIL’S PLASCHEM PARK

PlasChem Park, a 12-square-kilometer site in Jubail Industrial City II, located next to Sadara’s manufacturing complex, is dedicated to downstream manufacturing. Owned by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), the park is dedicated to chemical and conversion industries that directly or indirectly utilize Sadara’s products and raw materials from other suppliers.

A key differentiating concept in comparison to other petrochemical, chemical and plastics manufacturing projects in Saudi Arabia, PlasChem Park consists of a chemical park to host projects of a reactive nature and a conversion park to host formulators and converters. To date, PlasChem Park has been successful in attracting many local and international chemical as well as conversion investors. This is due to various downstream opportunities created through diverse product applications and accessibility of feedstock from Sadara and others, as well as the shared services on offer.

PlasChem Park is the only industrial park in the region that offers its investors the opportunity to access Ethylene Oxide and Propylene Oxide (EO/PO) through dedicated pipelines from Sadara.

In 2022, Sadara commenced the operation of the Ethylene Oxide/ Propylene Oxide (EO/PO) pipeline and distribution center project. These pipelines provide feedstock for tenants at PlasChem Park, enabling them to manufacture diversified specialty chemical products.

As the first of its kind in the region, the EO/PO pipeline project serves as a catalyst for downstream manufacturing growth in the Kingdom , generating new business opportunities and creating thousands of jobs.
