JUBAIL, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 9 September 2019 – Sadara Chemical Company (Sadara) has successfully completed an external audit that qualifies it for RC14001:2015 certification as a Responsible Care® Company.
The audit, conducted by FAHSS/TÜV, the National Inspection and Technical Testing Company, local agent for TÜV Nord, was concluded this week in the final stage of the Responsible Care certification process under the umbrella of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA).
Sadara is a signatory and active member of GPCA’s Responsible Care Committee.
Sadara’s CEO, Dr. Faisal M. Al-Faqeer, congratulated the entire Sadara team for the accomplishment, which he said “would not have been possible without an impressive level of teamwork and dedication, as well as full compliance with our Environment, Health, Safety & Security Standards.”
The Responsible Care certificate merges ISO 14001 standards into the requirements of the Responsible Care Management System (RCMS), creating a single cost-effective system.

Responsible Care is today practiced by more than 580 chemical companies in at least 65 countries around the world.
